What is MELMAC?
MELMAC was a four-piece rock quartet comprised of musicians from Eugene and Portland. "High-intensity rock with an organic edge" might be one way to describe what we did. "Wanking, over-scrutinized, ultimately abrasively mediocre butt-rock" may be another. We disbanded in mid-1997.
On the weekend of October 5-6, 1996, we recorded and mixed our first and only four-song demo. We recorded it in Portland in a house-studio owned by a guy named Rudy. Rudy is famous for working in the drum department of Apple music and for having the worst looking hair (a perm?) in the Northwest. Despite his coiffure, Rudy was a great engineer.
If you would like a CD trust me, you don't want one..
